Well i think that UNC should be better than that but i also think they could win every game but not against Michigan State. Michigan state might of lost to florida (Not even ranked) but florida is one of the best and top non ranked teams and like weve seen in the past a great program. Michigan state will continue to win all their games beating out top ranked big tens teams. Also UNC lost to Syracuse . I want to see UNC vs. Texas at Texas. Now if they win that game and Vs. MSU they'll be Set!!!!!!!

This is what's wrong with the media, because this story is beyond overblown. The kid was with some friends in Raleigh just hanging around an uninhabited house. They didn't steal anything, they didn't break anything...they were just chillin. Who hasn't just wandered around an empty construction site as a kid? Exploring, walking around, got nothing to do, killing time in NC.

Just because he's John Wall this becomes a major story. Obviously he should be more careful, but this is no JameSon Curry situation.

He just got busted for breaking and entering a vacant house in NC. Maybe he's not quite UNC caliber? Miami would be better I think.

Wow! Absolutely the perfect response K Durham. The problem with the whole system are the blood sucking leeches that call themselves "mentors." Give me a break, they don't care about the kid, the care about the money that the kid can make for them. At least there is a coach that has more integrity and respect for the game then to bow down to a "handler" to land a quality recruit.

I agree. I definitely think he's making sure that he's the number one option if he were to choose Carolina.

The question is, what gives UNC a better chance to repeat? John Wall for one year or Ty Lawson for one year?

I recently became aware of Brian Clifton (I refuse to refer to him as a coach), and as a fellow youth basketball coach and soon to be commissioner of our local league next year, I am absolutely appalled by this guy's immature behavior. Since when do you detest people just because they don't coddle you and do and say everything you want? Hey, did Barrack hold a grudge with Hilary? No, he was a real man and knew what was best for his cabinet and selected her based on her respective strengths.

First and foremost, Carolina does not need John Wall's one year of service. Would it be nice to have his services on the court? Absolutely. But if anyone needs the other here, John Wall needs a program like Carolina. Look at Wall's style of play...how does this so-called coach think John Wall wouldn't thrive in Roy William's blistering full court pace of hoops? Since when did AAU coaches have the control of a tyrant?

Second of all, who does this clown think he is calling the head coach of the University of North Carolina names? To say that Roy is not a good person, coach, or more importantly...one worthy of respect, is flat out blasphemy. Roy Williams is a Hall of Fame coach who just helped lead his team to the 2009 NCAA National Championship. This isn't some AAU Championship. This is the most prestigious, and most difficult trophy in basketball, bar none. I think it would be a wise exercise for Brian Clifton to ask the following individuals what they think of Roy Williams and maybe he would learn something about class, humility, and characteristics that exude respect...not to mention characteristics that lead men to become productive members of society outside from hoops:

Video Coordinator Eric Hoots, Head Athletic Trainer Chris Hirth, Assistant Coach C.B. McGrath, J.B. Tanner, Ty Lawson, Danny Green, Bobby Frasor, Marcus Ginyard, Wayne Ellington, Marc Campbell, Assistant Coach Joe Holladay, Assistant Coach Steve Robinson, Director of Basketball Operations Jerod Haase, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Jonas Sahratian, Coach K, Tom Izzo, Jim Calhoun, Jay Wright, Paul Pierce, Oliver Purnell, Al Skinner, Jeff Capel, Dean Smith, Bob Knight, Leonard Hamilton, Paul Hewitt, Sidney Lowe, Seth Greenberg, Gino Gaudio, Frank Haith...I'm sorry but the list could go on and on.

How many coaches still offer a Division 1 JV program that gives kids a chance to walk on to the varsity team? Sorry Brian, but there are "student-athletes" out there who aren't blessed with god-given talent and must work incredibly hard just to make a team roster. How many coaches get their players to spend an entire day working with kids on their game...during the Holiday break I might add.

Clifton should pursue a different avenue within basketball, something he is clearly more suited for...an NBA agent. From what I've read about him lately, he has no business leading young men to making objective choices as student athletes. Of course, as a member of the general public, I should give him the benefit of the doubt, because there are those of us that can clearly misjudge one's character when we really don't know the man. Maybe he'll take a dose of that medicine.

In closing, I feel sorry for John Wall. He seems like a good kid that simply got caught into the cocoon that occurs when leaches prey on youth talent. and if I were his parents, I would be embarrassed by my association with Clifton.
